It was very wet yesterday so Thomas decided to leave Jofli at home as he didn’t want him to get his fur wet. However today was much better. We went on the bus to Seahouses, booked our trip to the Farne Islands, and went to a playgym. After lunch and nap time, we went to the Grace Darling museum and the church in Bamburgh. After tea, Daddy took Thomas down for a paddle. We were so lucky with the weather, it seems almost all of...
Today Jofli (with his friend Thomas) went to Etal. He visited the castle first of all, then travelled on the little steam train to Heatherslaw. The return trip was nearly an hour so it was well worth it! ‘We did really well for the weather as it only started to rain this evening once my friend Thomas had gone to bed. Not looking too great for tomorrow and so we are going up to Berwick.’
Thomas took Jofli for his first ride on a train as he went on the Scarborough North Bay Railway. This railway has been there for years and years and is pulled by Diesel engines which look like steam, and are kept in beautiful condition. The journey starts at the old pleasure end of the bay, past the new open air theatre and along the beach, past the old cable car pylons to the station at Scalby Mills.
We visited Scarborough today, mainly for the cricket but also went up to the castle and for a paddle. Jofli went with Thomas and had a photo at the cricket ground on North Marine Drive.
Thomas took Jofli on his 1st trip to Headingley today (the home of Yorkshire CCC). They both enjoyed watching the Warwickshire wickets tumble in the sunshine after lunch. Thomas just wished they could have wrapped things up today before the rain came. Thomas is pleased to say the last 2 wickets were taken for a Yorkshire win as he was having his bedtime story read!
Jofli is a little bear who left his mum and dad (Mr and Mrs Bear) in the forest and went searching for adventure and new friends. Along the way he found Thomas and he will go with him on all his adventures, take photos, complete his journal and blog! The name Jofli is made up from the words 'Journey of Life'. We hope Jofli will be a travel companion to Thomas through his life. Posted with Blogsy
