Jofli goes by bus

It was very wet yesterday so Thomas decided to leave Jofli at home as he didn’t want him to get his fur wet. However today was much better. We went on the bus to Seahouses, booked our trip to the Farne Islands, and went to a playgym. After lunch and nap time, we went to the Grace Darling museum and the church in Bamburgh. After tea, Daddy took Thomas down for a paddle. We were so lucky with the weather, it seems almost all of...

Jofli travels to Northumberland

Today Jofli (with his friend Thomas) went to Etal. He visited the castle first of all, then travelled on the little steam train to Heatherslaw. The return trip was nearly an hour so it was well worth it! ‘We did really well for the weather as it only started to rain this evening once my friend Thomas had gone to bed. Not looking too great for tomorrow and so we are going up to Berwick.’

Easter Break 1

After the celebrations over the Easter weekend I have Thomas for a few days!! This morning we played in the garden – gorgeous weather! After lunch we went for a little walk. Thomas certainly helped his Daddy get rid of the choccie as he’s a lot heavier than he was the last time I used the sling. However he really enjoyed it and could really have a good nosey around. The walk wasn’t long, just across the fields opposite the...

Things have moved on rather and with multiple machines, tablets and smartphones, accessing your files without needing multiple copies, and remembering what was needed to put on a...

Jofli goes on a train

Thomas took Jofli for his first ride on a train as he went on the Scarborough North Bay Railway. This railway has been there for years and years and is pulled by Diesel engines which look like steam, and are kept in beautiful condition. The journey starts at the old pleasure end of the bay, past the new open air theatre and along the beach, past the old cable car pylons to the station at Scalby Mills.

Roundhay Park and Tropical World

Another trip out today to somewhere local I’d never been before! Roundhay Park is a massive park in north Leeds. As well as loads of grass, a cricket pitch, two lakes and good facilities, it also houses formal gardens and Tropical world. I think Thomas enjoyed the day but Tropical World was a little warm and he fell asleep in the sling!! Some photos below and the full set...
