On the way back from Lincoln, had a splendid day at Clumber Park in Notts. Formally the home of the Dukes of Newcastle, the house does not exist anymore but there are lovely parks and grounds for recreation. We had a great walk around the lake (which is a lot longer than one imagines), a splendid stop in the tea shop and then a walk around the walled garden. It was a beautiful day – not a cloud in the sky and very warm.
