RSPB is a splendid place to go for bird watching, a quiet peaceful walk and generally get some fresh air. Today was a special event where visitors can have a guided walk and then do a bit of stargazing, with hot soup in between!

We were very lucky that a miserable morning turned into the most glorious afternoon and evening. It was great to hear from the Centre Manager about all the things they are doing in the area with new reserves and conservation of all nature not just birds. He also told us the RSPB have just gained a new place near RSPB Fairburn Ings near Leeds/Castleford which is just as large, called St Aiden’s. Can’t wait for that to open!!
