Visited the RHS gardens at Harlow Carr, Harrogate, this morning. It was a bit grey but not rainy as it was when driving back (good timing!!) The gardens are extensive and has many different areas; kitchen garden (by far the best I’ve seen), sense garden, small ‘gardens through history’ sections, woodland walk. Many of the beds are very insect friendly and it was good to see some of plants we bought at Tatton Park there and full of bumble and more importantly honey bees. There is a Betty’s cafe there but it was heaving, so we bought a quiche, curd tart and coffee from the bakery section which was excellent!
