A new font was added recently. Instead of the traditional stone ones with water only added when required, the font at Salisbury is constantly full and overflowing at each of the four corners.
The effect is one of glass. The water can be used to obtain a perfect mirror of the ends of the cathedral and the ceiling. A wonderful creation.
