Had a wander along the coast to Mont Orguil Castle. Cloudless, sunny day again so great views over the sea to France and along the Jersey coast. This was another we’d downloaded an audio tour which was again excellent, and amusing!
This afternoon we visited the Occupation tunnels, dug out during the occupation to hold stores and ammunition. Instead of a series of empty tunnels, it was a whole history of the occupation on Jersey, again with an audio tour which was sobering yet informative. www.jerseywalltunnels.com.
In the visitors centre, there are displays of islanders involvement in the occupation and garden of reflection.
